A prediction is when you find out if you are wrong or not. A prediction is when you think about the answer to something, but you never know if you are right or wrong.
A inference is somewhere in the text, It does not tell the real answer. It has no answer. A prediction is somewhere in the text it shows the answer. Practically the opposite of an inference.
A prediction is something you think is going to happen. An inference is a thing that the text didn't tell you but, by using clues you can infer what happened.
The difference between an inference and a prediction is that an inference never gets answered. A prediction starts out as an inference because you don't know if it will get answered but when it gets answered it becomes a prediction.
the difference would be the prediction is like you will predict that it is going to rain and a iffrence is were you have background knowledge and text clues
a prediction is when the text answer your question. a inference is when you ask a question and it dose't get answered. the different is that one answer your question and the other dose not.
the difference between predict and infer is that a prediction you predict what is going to happen and also when you predict the book answers what you predicted. an inference is when you infer what is hapening or what is going to happen next and an inference the book never tells you your answer.
A prediction and a inference are different. They are different because an inference is a statement that the story never tells you and a prediction is a statement that does get solved. For Example: Passage Below: http://www.english-for-students.com/The-Greedy-Dog.html
Once there lived a dog. He was very greedy. There were many times that he had to pay for his greed. Each time the dog promised himself, “I have learnt my lesson. Now I will never be greedy again.” But he soon forgot his promises and was as greedy as ever. My inference is that this dog did something he was not suppose to do. My prediction is that he is going to do something so greedy.
One afternoon, the dog was terribly hungry. He decided to go look for something to eat. Just outside his house, there was a bridge. “I will go and look for food on the other side of the bridge. The food there is definitely better,” he thought to himself.
A prediction is when a person will say something that is supported by the text in a story and is also answered too. An inference is like a prediction but you are assuming because there is text in the story to support it but an inference is unanswered like a guess.
A prediction tells you the answer to your educational guess. While inferences don't tell you the answer to your question
